We at Highland Arts & Athletics are excited to welcome Micaela Baab as the new Athletic Director for the Lone Star Celtic Festival and Highland Games. 

Micaela, who grew up in the Highland Games watching her father compete worldwide, has over two decades of experience in this vibrant cultural tradition. She took the reins as Athletic Director of the Austin Highland Games in 2021, where she notably hosted the Masters World Championship in her first year. Under her guidance, the Austin Games flourished into one of Texas's most prominent events.

Micaela is not just an organizer but also a top-ranked female thrower in Texas, actively competing across the country since 2019. Along with her husband, Jack Coleman, she leads the Centex Silverbacks, fostering a strong community of Highland Games athletes in Central Texas.

Her deep-rooted passion for the Highland Games, combined with her proven leadership and organizational skills, makes Micaela an invaluable asset to our team. We look forward to her steering the Lone Star Celtic Festival and Highland Games into an exciting new era. Welcome, Micaela!
